Mal Bibby

Putting Things Into

Perspective

As a relative latecomer into the arena of contemporary poetry, Mal has already been featured on BBC Radio Manchester, with two pieces recited, both of which are contained in his first book. This was followed by a live interview conducted by David Scott, who as a performer himself, is well known for providing a platform with which to expose fresh talent across the North West, and, after seeing Mal performing decided to invite him onto his radio programme.

Personal Appearances

Mal regularly takes opportunities to perform at open mic sessions across the North West, largely through networking with other poets and groups involved and, so far, these have included appearances at:

The Spinners Mill at Leigh, Haigh Country Park in Wigan, Clitheroe Castle, Liverpool Everyman, Bolton Open Market, the Liverpool Festival of Arts in St. James Gardens, and the brand new Shakespeare North Theatre in Prescott.

Front cover of Burnout by Mal Bibby

Burnout is the second collection from Mal Bibby and features both hilariously funny and poignant impressions of everyday life and situations we can all relate to. Mal’s skill at finding a story in even the most mundane of settings is a gift and the explanations included are entertaining in themselves.

A quality hardback, this volume is beautifully illustrated throughout by the brilliant David Waywell, who’s work has been featured on Have I Got News For You, in The New Statesman, The Spectator, The Sunday Times, and others.

Available now in a fabulously illustrated hardback!
